I’ve always felt moved by art in all its forms. I spent much of my youth drawing and trying new mediums until one day, my mom introduced me to Architecture. From then on, I was curious about this complex artistic form. In college, I learned about the impact architecture has on society. I began wondering about my role in changing the built environment. Over time, I set my mind on advancing the architectural literacy and language of places like Baltimore, my hometown. Back there, and elsewhere across the country, people’s sense of place is waning, and I think spaces assigned to the youth play a major role in that. So, much of my work and school experience focuses on art, architecture, and education. I aim to deepen my understanding of each of those practices and pedagogies to become the designer I want to be!
